ÁRAS INIS GLUAIRE

Celebrating Arts and Community in Erris

Welcome to Áras Inis Gluaire, Ireland’s only bilingual arts centre, nestled in the stunning Belmullet on the Erris Peninsula. Our mission is to enrich the cultural, social, and educational fabric of the Erris community through the arts.

Opened in April 2007, Áras Inis Gluaire is a state-of-the-art facility featuring a 170-seat auditorium, a gallery named after Rita Nolan, a recording studio with Iorras FM, meeting rooms, and a café. We invite all visitors to enjoy a coffee or engage with our friendly staff.

Our vibrant annual arts program showcases both professional and amateur talent across various genres. We offer workshops, residencies, and educational courses in creative writing, visual arts, traditional music, and more. Iorras FM broadcasts live from our studio, bringing local voices to a wider audience

Join us in celebrating the rich artistic heritage of Erris and experience the transformative power of the arts. Everyone is welcome—“Tá mile mile fáilte roimh chách.
