Gearoid McCarthy hails from Foynes in Limerick. He started off as a solo singer on RTÉ’s Class Act, coming third, and then a few years later joined up with well-known West Limerick band Mad for Road.
Gearoid then spent two years performing as the resident musician at Raglan Road in Disney World, Orlando. He later toured globally with Celtic Legends for another two years before bringing his own show back to Ireland, performing in the pubs of Temple Bar.
Nowadays, Gearoid can be found touring all over the world and uploading daily to his 600k followers across all social channels.
