Short Synopsis:
Set in rural Ireland, Pretend Sick is a sharp, comedy-drama tale of family, control and deception. Katie Logan, a cunning widow, pretends to be a frail and suffering woman to keep her adult children tied to home. As her daughter Mary begins to question her future and dream of a life beyond the family parlour, Katie’s manipulations intensify—with hilarious and unsettling consequences. Nothing is quite what it seems in this witty three-act comedy where love, lies and loyalty collide.
